And unfortunately, many stories like that. Glad that you and I have our heads on straight! (forgive the pun). What a sad story Chris. And unfortunately, many stories like that. The other day we were getting dressed, and when I asked Mikey what shirt (he pronounces it "shoit," like he's from Brooklyn) he wanted to wear, he crowd, "I wear my PINK SHOIT!" The thing is that he doesn't have one. If you come across a boy's pink shirt in size 3T in your rambles, we would love for Mikey to have a pink shoit from his pink auntie. Amen, sister. Thanks Linds! Did you see AC360 yesterday where they profiled a 5 year old boy who in 1970 was enrolled by his mom in a UCLA program designed to "straighten out" young children who displayed effeminate behavior. He participated in the program for a year and according to his family, he was never the same. The happy boy was forever scarred. As cliche as it sounds, he later joined the Air Force. He subsequently came out as being gay, but was never able to form a lasting relationship with a man. Long story short, he killed himself at the age of 38. So tragic.... So true! Thanks Linds! These fanatics who preach the loudest are usually the ones who feel the need to project their personal fears/issues on others, so as to distract both themselves and others from seeing where the REAl societal problems lie.
